It's 1968 and the country's on overwhelm - Vietnam, Civil Rights, Police Brutality, Women's Liberation, SMOG, and DDT. Justine’s brother wants her to take up La Causa- the fight for rights of farm workers in California's Central San Joaquin, bread basket of the world. All she cares about is what she should wear on the first day of her senior year. No match for Aaron's enthusiasm, though, Justine runs into her lost love at a political rally.
